Commiphora kua is a rare and exotic form of myrrh, found primarily on the Island of Socotra in Yemen. It can also be found in select locations on the mainland of Yemen, Kenya, Somalia, and Ethiopia. This resin is highly prized for its complex and alluring fragrance, which possesses notes of caramel, vanilla, and floral. When heated or burned on charcoal, the scent of Commiphora kua lingers for a long while, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Unlike other forms of myrrh, Socotran Commiphora kua resin lacks the bitterness often associated with myrrh. This resin is especially enjoyable when heated on an incense heater.
